Gyudmed is a very special school. It’s one, of only two Tantric Monasteries in India and is considered by many one of the great institutions for the study of Tibetan Tantric Buddhism in the world. Never before have students had the opportunity to study at Gyudmed.

Aim of our school: There were two main reasons in starting Snowland. The first, seeing his Holiness The Dalai Lama’s dream of a School specially designed for world students become a reality. A school where students of all nationalities could study and practice Buddhism, Tibetan traditions, Tibetan history, culture and language. Secondly, our never ending commitment in working to alleviate the suffering, violence and conflict plaguing our world, by teaching and educating in ethics and compassion, we work to create peaceful, intelligent and compassionate minds and in so doing create a peaceful and kind world.
